Youth Action Plans

Regional Youth Action Plans are an identified key outcome of the Territory Families Regional Youth Services Framework. They are an opportunity to engage young people and key stakeholders to identify gaps and priorities to improve outcomes for young people through the development of regional solutions.

Regional Youth Action Plans are currently being developed for Darwin, Palmerston, Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy, Katherine and Tennant Creek and will be released over the coming months.

Darwin Youth Action Plan

The Darwin Youth Action Plan was developed through listening and engaging with young people, key stakeholders and government partners through the establishment of the Darwin Local Action Group.

The Darwin Youth Action Plan aims to guide our collaborative local decision-making activities through to implementation, ensuring we focus our efforts to empower disengaged and vulnerable young people living in the Northern Suburbs towards a safer and improved future.

Palmerston Youth Action Plans

The Palmerston Youth Action Plan has been developed in collaboration with young people, key community stakeholders and government partners through the establishment of the Palmerston Youth – Local Action Group.

The Palmerston Youth Action Plan will guide future actions and priorities to be addressed in the Palmerston community and support partnerships and opportunities to work together to support positive changes for young people.

Katherine Youth Action Plan

The Katherine Youth Action Plan was developed through listening to young people and the community and working in partnership with stakeholders to establish goals and priorities for the community.

The Katherine Youth Action Plan acknowledges roles and responsibilities of government agencies, non-government organisations, service providers and community stakeholders in supporting young people to feel valued, involved and empowered to live a positive and healthy life.

Mparntwe/Alice Springs Youth Action Plan

The Mparntwe/Alice Springs Youth Action Plan 2019-21 was developed in collaboration with key community partners, including young people, and outlines the goals and priorities for the community over the coming two years.

The Mparntwe/Alice Springs Youth Action Plan identified key action areas to assist young people in the community to feel valued, involved and empowered and to live positive and healthy lives.
