National Children's Week 2016

National Children's Week is an annual event celebrated around Australia. It provides a great opportunity for families, schools, organisations and communities to celebrate children and young people in our community and reflect upon the important role that we play in helping them to reach their full potential.

There are several free family events across the Territory:

  • Friday 21 October,  3.30pm – 5.30pm NT launch of Children’s Week 2016 at the Salvation Army Hall in Anula
  • Saturday 22 October, 2pm – 5pm at Snow Kenna Park, Alice Springs
  • Tuesday 25 October, 9am – 11.30am at Palmerston Recreation Centre YMCA
  • Tuesday 25 October, 9.30am – 12pm at the Batchelor Oval
  • Wednesday 26 October, 9am – 12pm at Jingili Water Gardens
  • Wednesday 26 October, 9am – 11am at the Yulara Town Square
  • Thursday 27 October at the Humpty Doo Village Green
  • Saturday 29 October, 3pm – 6pm at the Darwin Waterfront
