Foster and Kinship Carer Award Nominations are now closed
The Foster and Kinship Carer Awards provide the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our valuable carers and the community of people who support children in out-of-home care.

These awards are for the children thriving in the care of a loving family, the siblings who go the extra mile to make them feel welcome in their home and the support staff who believe that going above and beyond is a part of their job.
To create a fun and enjoyable event that inspires, motivates and value those involved in out-of-home-care the proposed theme for 2019 is:
This theme recognises the rock star efforts made by foster carers, kinship carers and social works/case managers to support children and young people in need.
The Awards are an opportunity to thank carers for their outstanding achievement and thank them for their dedication and commitment to support children and young people in care and for the work they do in strengthening our communities.’
The five award categories celebrated not only the carers, but also the achievements of young people in care, the work of Territory Families staff members and the foster and kinship siblings who make a difference to the lives of children and young people in care.
The 2019 Award categories are.
- Outstanding Contribution by a Foster Carer
- Outstanding Contribution by a Kinship Carer
- Outstanding Contribution by a Territory Families staff member
- Outstanding Contribution by a Sibling
- Young Person Achievement Award.
